Roleplay: 18th of October 2010

Season: Autumn/Fall. The temperature is rather mild, a fair few degrees above freezing.

A lone female wolf wanders slowly down the eastern bank of the valley river. Her name is Silver, and she's been on her own ever since her last pack split.

Wildfire followed Silvia from a distance. Wildfire could tell she was alone, maybe this was a good chance to finally achieve starting a pack. Maybe even get to be an alpha for the first time in her life. It seemed like a dream, but Wildfire always wanted to live out dreams.

Sliver catches the scent of another wolf on the air. She turns around, spotting Wildfire, and wonders if she's a threat.

Wildfire curses to herself when she discovers she's been spotted. She walks forward, her tail held high, but not snarling. This was a sign she considered herself boss. But not a aggressive one.

Silver watches Wildfire curiously. She doesn't seem dangerous.

Wildfire sniffed Silvia. She seemed that she was just another lone wolf, looking for a family to call her own.

Apollo watched the two wolves from a distance. He wasn't sure how the two of them would interact together yet so for now he was content to watch from a safe distance.

Silver gives Wildfire a curious sniff. She keeps her body posture low, trying to show that she respects Wildfire as boss.

Wildfire sees her prime chance at an Alpha position and she bares her teeth at Silvia.

Silver steps back a few paces, a little nervous.

Wildfire didn't mean to seem threatening, and lowers her head.

Silver cautiously approaches again, still acting submissivly.

Wildfire sniffs her. They were just two loners in a cruel world. Alone, they did not stand much of a chance. Together, they could form a pack. Become safe and warm and well fed again. The joy of pups in the spring.

Silver is less nervous now, and feels more curious. She understands that her best chances of success lie with companionship, and this may be the one chance she gets of starting a pack.

Wildfire nods. She held her tail high, showing she was boss.

Silver feels a little more confident, now deciding that Wildfire wasn't planning to hurt her.

Wildfire nods and howled loud for all surrounding lone wolves to hear. There was a pack forming, and if they wanted a family to follow her calls.

Silver looks up at the sound of Wildfire's howl. She raises her head towards the moon overhead and howls, reinforcing Wildfire's call.

Wildfire gazed up at the moon as she continued her long howl.

Meanwhile, further up the eastern slopes, in the Rocky Meadow, an adventurous male wolf clambers over a large congregation of rocks. As he finds his way to the safer parts of the generally dangerous meadow, he picks up the sound of howling wolves, and stops to listen.

The male tilts his head to one side curiously, before raising his head and howling in response.

Wildfire is oblivious that a lone wolf was picking up their howls. She was even more unaware that he was a male, and could possibly become the Alpha at her side.

The male wolf howls again, and then he makes a snap decision to follow the sounds of the howls. He's curious to see if they come from a pack, or from some lone wolves such as himself, looking for company.
